Mysuru , September 24 : Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Smt. Poornima B.R. informed that on the occasion of Naada Habba Mysuru Dasara Mahotsava 2022, the Dasara Fruit and Flower Show for the year 2022-23 has been organized at Nishad Bhag Kuppanna Park from September 26 to August 5 2022 .

In a press conference held today at Kuppanna Park, she informed that on the occasion of the 75th Independence Amrutha Mahotsava, this time the Rashtrapati Bhavan will be built in a glass house about 20 feet high decorated with colourful flowers such as Sevanti , Red and White roses . In commemoration of the Sandalwood filmstar Late Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, effigy with details of Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar’s achievements will be installed and decorated with flowers. Earlier, Mysuru Wadiyars used to build Thandee Sadak for people to rest . Its replica will be built in front of the glass house, she said. A 7 feet honeybee, a 12 feet giraffe and many dolls related to children will be decorated with flowers. She also mentioned that a house will be built from a 7 feet capsicum. A variety of other concepts will be built and showcased. She said that during the evening , there will be entertainment programmes sponsored by Dairy Day, Ullas Agarbatthis, Suvarna Channel. The department has grown more than 50 thousands of colourful flower plants and the entire Kuppanna Park will be decorated with flowers. Among them mainly , Marigold, French Marigold Zinnia, Dahlia and other varieties of flower plants, specially decorative plants are being brought from Pune. She also said that they have written to IIHR, CDB, NHB, CFTRI organizations about stores related to the Department, Organic stores, stores related to Agriculture . More information about this will be made available to the farmers A poster was released on the same occasion. At the press conference, the Dasara Fruit and Flower Show Committee President Sri . S. R. Nanjappa along with Vice-President Sri. Om Srinivasa, Smt. Sushila and others were also present.
