Mysuru District's Revendous Rural Dasara Celebrations

Mysuru, Sept. 29, Karnataka Varthe : On the occassion of Naada Habba Mysuru Dasara Mahotsava, Mysuru District’s Jayapura Village on Thursday held the Rural Dasara celebrations with atmost joyous moment.

Minister of Co-Operation and District Incharge Minister Sri S. T. Somashekar launched the event by offering floral tributes to the charriot of Shri. Karooru Basaveshwara Temple in the Daaripura village.

After which he said that the Rural Dasara is being celebrated in all the Taluks of the districts as a part of the World famous Mysuru Dasara. Due to COVID, the Dasara celebrations had been halted for the past two years and I am very happy that it is now being celebrated as a Grand Dasara.

After which MLA G. T. Devegowda spoke at the Rural Dasara celebrations that the celebrations has bought him so much joy that the Rural Dasara has to be celebrated through the nook and corners of the house he said.

At the Taluk level, the Rural Dasara has been celebrated neatly and apart from systematically organizing the health camp, the information about the Public Information has also been good.

Dasara Elephants marching with a Royal Majesty, Drums, Music instruments, Tonga, Sarot and spectacular Dance performance with cultural troops along with 25 information charriots of various Govt. schemes along with the welcoming of 101 Purna Kumbha reception to perform near the stage at Shri Gujjamma Temple in Jayapura village.

MLA G. T. Devegowda inaugurated the health camp and various departmental stores organsized by the Rural Dasara Programme.

ZP CEO Dr. B. R. Poornima who did the inauguration said that the Govt. is celebrating the Rural Dasara with the aim of bringing Dasara celebrations to everyones home. She also said that the Rural Dasara celebration held at Jayapura was nonetheless than the Jamboosavaari procession.

During the same occassion at the Rural sports festival, awards were presented to winners who participated in the Rural sports. MP Pratap Simha, DC Dr. Bagadi Gautam, Jayapura Gram Panchayat President H. N. Mahadevi, Vice President Bhairesh, Taluk Panchayat Executive officer H. D. Girish, Tehsildar B. N. Girish, Rural Dasara Executive commitee presidents, Vice Presidents and Taluk Gram Panchayat’s presidents, Vice Presidents, PDO, Revenue Dept. officers and the rest of them were present.
